Tokyo Christmas Market at Hibiya Park, Japan seems to be intrigued by the winter markets and in particular, the German-style Christmas markets. If you too, want your holiday season with a touch of European flair, are looking for the rare homemade decoration, or just want to enjoy some spicy champagne, check out some of Tokyo’s best Christmas markets. In many parts of Europe, the Christmas markets turn the city’s central squares into a charming, romantic environment, including trees, festive lighting, hot spicy wines, candy and stalls selling local crafts. The Tokyo Christmas Market carries the same spirit to Japan with a festive array of sweets, drinks and European-style ornaments. There’s also a 14-metre-high Christmas pyramid installation from a village — while the Christmas pyramid is new to us, it really has a history as ancient as the Christmas tree. The Tokyo Christmas Market has been held since 2015 as a highlight of the city’s festive season schedule.
